Senior Project Engineer

The position as Senior Project Engineer is to oversee and direct engineering design and assessment activities to support delivery of capital projects within the PMO (Project Management Office). You provide specialist Project Engineering support to Manufacturing and Orica´s business, in accordance with Orica project governance requirements. You report to Programme Lead – E & A, and work out from Gyttrop in Orebro County.

The focus of the position is to be a technical support to the E & A project and engineering teams and effectively allocate resources to Initiating Systems (IS) projects. Typical projects that need to be managed will vary from tens of thousands of dollars to multiple millions of dollars and primary customer contact for project delivery within the E & A region for IS (Initiating Systems). The projects, found in our factories, Joint Venture partnerships and customer sites in the region, E & A.

We expect you to have the ability to work autonomously and have a strong execution focus. You are service minded, co operational, innovation minded and a highly driven person. You have the ability to understand people's differences and enjoy to work in other cultural environments.
Your leadership is distinctive and you have interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on effective team work and personnel development.

To succeed with the position we think you have a M.Sc. in engineering discipline, or equivalent experience. We also want you to have engineering leadership, project management and process engineering capability and effectiveness as a experience. Experience in Engineering solutions and performance is also an advantage.
