Technical Manager

As the Technical Manager you'll have overall responsibility for technology and process development and to managing and implementing investment projects at the Nordic Paper Group at its four production units in Sweden and Norway. The role includes working with both operational and strategic issues at management level.

You are a member in the Group's local mill management team and also in the Investment Committee together with CEO, CFO, Director of Operation, and the Group Controller.
You reports directly to the Director of Operation.

The work involves close collaboration with other functions within the Nordic Paper such as mill managements, department superintendents, production technicians as well as operators and the Group's other support functions i.e. Purchasing, IT, etc.

The position involves no direct reporting staff but as Technical Manager, you have the responsibility for leading the teams and production management to strategically evaluate, distribute, planning and staffing the upcoming investment projects

Other
· Plan, communicate and manage project scope, budget, objectives and performance requirements based on stakeholder demands.
· Project manager for selected projects.
· Establish project plans regarding the scope, objectives, timing and resources to plan, organization and cost budget and implement, manage and monitor project plans.
· Create project teams, which means defining roles and responsibilities and to lead groups against targets.
· Coordinator of the objectives, budget and expenses within the framework of Nordic Paper´s investment budget.
· Ensuring that business investment resources are used most efficiently.
· Lead and implement investment projects through active collaboration with outside vendors, project owners (mill managers, department superintendents etc) and with other entities in the Nordic Paper.
· Compile requests for quotes and evaluate quotes and negotiate with Purchasing to select the right vendor and be responsible for the technical content of contracts and orders corresponds to what is planned.
· Monitor production and installation so that the contract terms are followed.
· Budget Responsibility, cost reporting, cost Approval / invoicing.
· Performance against sustainability targets.
· Responsible for benchmarking within Nordic Paper,” Star for growth”.
· Responsible for the continues improvement program within Nordic Paper “technician and process”, action plans, rot cause analysis ( RCA ) etc.
· Support the mill management, department superintendents with trouble shooting.

· Previous management experience in production or process management.

Education and Experiences
· Science Engineering Master degree or essential.
· > 10 years technical / operational experience in paper & pulp industry
