Job description
As production manager, you have overall responsibility for the production unit in Gyttorp and are a very important part of Orica's development. You are responsible for managing, distributing and developing production, which today has 200 employees. You will have 6 direct reports on the production unit (5 superintendents and 1 manning coordinator).

The position as production manager is included in the Initiation System management team.

We expect you to have previous management experience in production management. You are expected to be the driving force of business development in close collaboration with other entities in Gyttorp.
The work is both operationally and strategically, and we expect that you have a leadership that is characterized by participation, involvement and interest in managing and developing people.
You are actively working to develop work methods, procedures, operations, personnel and have an ability to see reality, a holistic perspective, and a focus on delivering the best quality and cost solutions for the plant in Gyttorp. You will have the responsibility to implement and secure Orica’s procedures and policies.

Key Tasks
· Have SHEC responsibility for the production in Gyttorp. Manage safety work and implement internal control procedures and follow up that our SHEC KPIs are reached.
· Manage, plan and develop the production so that the products we deliver meet the requirements of our customers.
· Together with subordinate personnel create a development plan for production, in line with Orica’s objectives, and implement it in Gyttorp.
· Define and formulate distinct and clear goals and communicate them in the entire organization. Make sure that the personnel get feedback of the status of our goals, if within reach or not.
· Create a driving, motivated organization, contributing to our development in a positive way. Coaching them so that both the individuals and the organization have the possibility to develop and deliver.
· Be a true ambassador for Lean thinking and implement Lean tools in the organisation.
· Collaborate and build processes together with supporting functions.
· Make sure that cost and volume budgets for the production are met.
· Manage actions together with the production team and make sure that they are delivered on time.
· Identify possible improvements together with the production team and implement them on the site.

· Constantly driving for improvements and to implement standards and procedures in the production organisation
· Make sure that we have the best internal and external quality in Orica.
· Deliver the right amount of products at the right time volume agreed with Supply Chain
· Drive improvement of product cost and deliver according to budget.
